They presented "Ortofonie - la grana del suono" that consists in a free improvisation with woodwind instruments and violin. Davide sound work is essentially based on improvisation practices, ethnomusicology research, and soundscapes composition. Manlio is the curator of the Orto and he has a strong passion for violin. Together with the duo, the polish Palermo-based performer and dancer Marta Romaszkan took part in the improvisation inside the Serra Carolina.

Interactive installation by Alicia Vion
The work presented by Alicia Vion is an interactive installation that works as a mise en abyme of the snake-fountain’s plants, placed inside "Serra Carolina" into the Botanical Garden of Palermo. The keyboard allows the audience to play music while activating an animation on the screen. Each note sets in motion a different phase of the plant growth.

<<During our art residency in Viafarini, we took a short trip to Palermo to expand the ideas we were working on at that time. Architecture, camouflage, nature, primitive skills videos…they all mix in the hunting shack we built in Palermo's Botanical Garden. It was made to be temporary and to host other people, to be inhabited for a short time and to camouflage in a situation of “organized wilderness". Two posters were showing some “rules” based on our process of building the shack, bringing the spot on the liminal space between city and nature - where we start to feel the necessity of blending in.>>
